What's in a name (a bit about me)?
Lucine: (LOO see ne) n. Armenian 1) moon; 2) fem. proper name meaning "light". The diminutive form Lucy also refers to the fossil discovered by Donald Johanson and Tom Gray in 1974 in the Hadar region of Ethiopia. At the time, she was the oldest human fossil ever recovered (approx. 3.2. million years old) and she remains the most complete hominid fossil ever found (40% of her skeleton was recovered).
Clearly, I have a legacy (of sorts) to live up to ;-)
The story behind hitchhiker_309: "hitchhiker" is my tribute to Douglas Adams and the increasingly misnamed Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy. "309" comes from the title of the last song ever written by Johnny Cash: a railway tune about life, death, and points in between, Like the 309.
Strengths: Often bitchy and politically incorrect (whatever the hell that means anymore), frequently only making sense in my own head space...and did I mention "possesses the subtlty of a sledgehammer to the head"? Why yes--these are my "better" qualities. ;-)
Weaknesses: Mein Mutt: Honestly, how could you not love this face? [Make no attempt to answer this question if you want to live ;-) ]
Special Skills: The inability to sugar-coat anything and the ability to find the fatal flaw in everything--a sort of inverse of the "silver lining seeker" so to speak.
Weapons: Words are the most effective of all, n'est pas?
Current Addictions: Mutt, women (none of this "womyn" crappola so if that's you're thing then, "Shoo! Away with you!"), Shakespeare, the neverending quest for the perfect grouper sandwich, and... sings...pina coladas and getting caught in the rain / I'm not into yoga and I have (more than) half a brain...
